Bantha:
Bantha side
Bantha top
Bantha head

The bantha miniature produced by WEG consists of five parts: a left and right side, a tail, and the two horns. When the two sides are joined the head and body look unusually thin. It is surprisingly easy to fix this problem using the directions given by Bob Lippman on his Strategic Headquarters site (which is currently offline).

The two halves of the model are held apart by a ball of Sculpey clay, which was squished between the metal sides, removed and baked, then superglued back in place. The tail is glued primarily to this wad of Sculpey, instead of to the metal sides of the body. This still leaves a big gap between the sides. I filled the gap with Das Pronto modelling clay which air dries. Even though I cannot sculpt clay from scratch very well, it was simple to continue the lines and details of the miniature onto the wet clay with a hobby knife and a few other common tools. Hair is especially easy to duplicate by scoring with the blade of the knife. You can keep Das Pronto moist until you are satisfied with the results, then leave it to dry.
