- Ebay has become one of the best places to look for out-of-production miniatures. Sooner or later anything and everything will be up for auction there. The price of WEG Star Wars miniatures has increased in recent years, and many packs now sell for higher than their original retail price. Larger lots of figures still often sell for close to the old retail price (roughly $2 per figure).
Star Wars figures are most often found in the 'Other Miniatures' category:

- The Jawa Sandcrawler is a forum for listing Star Wars miniatures for sale or trade, as well as posting lists of wanted figures. The Jawa Sandcrawler is now found in the database section of the Yahoo SWMB mailing list website. Members of the mailing list may log in to Yahoo's web site to view the listings or post their own.
- The Bartertown site helps connect you to people who want to sell or trade part of their gaming collections:

- Look for "For Sale" [FS] or "Auction" [AUC, FA, or EBAY] messages in the appropriate newsgroups (rec.games.frp.marketplace, rec.games.board.marketplace, rec.games.miniatures.misc), or post a message to a newsgroup saying that you're looking for SWMB figures to buy [WTB]. There are lot of people out there who get halfway started on collections then stop for whatever reason, and some will be willing to sell you their figures for a fair price. This sort of transaction can be less secure for the buyer, who usually sends the money first, compared to the auction sites or Bartertown that help track participants' reputations for you.
However, most online selling has moved to eBay, and these days many newsgroup postings are simply links to eBay auctions.
- There is a list of dealers who sell OOP miniatures at the Stuff of Legends website:
http://www.solegends.com/sources.htm
That list is rather old, and some of those links are to businesses that have changed URLs or closed up shop.
- You may need to substitute some alternative miniatures from other 25mm sci-fi lines. Some come pretty close to resembling Star Wars characters, while others can represent Rebels from different worlds, mercenaries with exotic equipment, etc.
